Freecycle.org

I recently heard about Freecycle.org from a friend who said it's kind of a Craigslist. I absolutely love Craigslist and have bought and sold many, many things on there so with the word "free" in Freecycle.org, I had to check it out. I went on their website and clicked on their mission statement which read "Our mission is to build a worldwide gifting movement that reduces waste, saves precious resources & eases the burden on our landfills while enabling our members to benefit from the strength of a larger community." How great is that? I signed up and was approved and in just one day I've gotten organic compost for my garden and some gently used children's books....for free! What's even better is that these things will be used and appreciated by us and not tossed out in the garbage like they might have been if they weren't listed. Now it's my turn to do some spring cleaning and find a new home for our stuff on Freecycle.org.
